| Thank-you to Deb and Bob Coulson, the new owners, as there is no question that they certainly went out of their way with a very early spring initiation of the many upgrades they had planned…specifically to accommodate our annual fishing trip this past June 2007. Their efforts definitely did not go unnoticed by the 22 members and guests that made the trip in June this year. I was also able to drop in the middle of September and witnessed that the list of improvements have continued…with more planned for next year. Prior to our departure last spring, our members voted to return for yet another O-Pee-Chee Lake experience in celebrating our club’s 60th Anniversary at Horizons North Fishing Resort the week of June 2-8, 2008. We can’t wait for fishON!!! Dave Hunt, President, WAYclub |
| I brought my 11 year old daughter and her friend up to Horizon’s North Fishing Resort for our summer vacation. We found a peaceful lake complete with the songs of loons, lots of beautiful trees and a cozy cottage waiting for us. Our home away from home was “The BoatHouse”. It is extra special because it has its own private dock and waterfront porch where I enjoyed my morning coffee. Our nightly bonfires were a lot of fun complete with marshmallows and hot dogs! The girls had a lot of fun fishing and have their “trophy photos” to show off their catch! North Bay is just a short visit away for all the necessities like orthodontic services which we did end up needing. Everyone including our pet Sheltie really enjoyed the fresh, clean air and quiet surroundings – we look forward to our next visit! Suzanne Cascannette, Ottawa, June 2007 |
| Just wanted to thank you for the comfortable cabin, good company and great fishing we had this summer. Our only complaint was your beds are too comfortable (so we never did get up for that early morning fishing), but hey, lots of rest and relaxation is good for the soul! See ya next year! | We really enjoyed our time at the Horizons lodge. First of all we were amazed by the quiet and pristine lake. It seemed like we had the whole thing to ourselves. There are very few places in the world today where you can still get this feeling. The log cabins are a real reflection of bygone times but the new modern interiors were greatly appreciated at the end of the day. We can't wait to return. Thanks!
